Fees & Insurance

Fees

For those seeking individual, family, or couples counseling, the fee schedule is outlined below:

- 50-minute session: $165

- 80-minute session (available upon request): $230

Accepted payment methods include cash, check, credit card, and cards linked to your flex or health care savings account.

Insurance

I am currently regarded as an "out-of-network" service provider by most insurance plans. Depending on your current health insurance provider, you may be eligible for partial coverage for services.

At the end of each month, I am able to provide you with an itemized statement of services (also known as a "superbill") for submission to your insurance provider to facilitate reimbursement. Reimbursement rates and insurance deductibles can vary.

To ensure a clear understanding of your coverage, it is recommended to inquire with your insurance company about the following before your initial session:

What are my out-of-network provider benefits for mental health/behavioral therapy services? What percentage or amount is covered per therapy session?

Do I need to satisfy a deductible before coverage for out-of-network mental health sessions kicks in? If so, what is the deductible amount and has it been partially met?

Is there a cap on the number of sessions per year that my health insurance will cover?

Sliding Fee Scale

To enhance accessibility to therapy, reduced-fee services are offered on a limited basis.

Cancellation Policy

I hold dedicated appointment slots for my clients. If you need to reschedule, kindly cancel 24 hours before to prevent incurring the full session fee.

Good Faith Estimate/No Surprises Act

An updated consumer protection legislation known as the "No Surprises Act" came into force on January 1, 2022. The following is the mandatory notification that medical providers must provide to patients:

You are entitled to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" detailing the anticipated costs of your medical and mental health care services. According to the legislation, healthcare providers must furnish uninsured patients or those not using insurance with an estimate of the expected fees for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to obtain a Good Faith Estimate encompassing the full projected expenses of all non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. Prior to scheduling a service, you are encouraged to request a Good Faith Estimate from your healthcare provider, as well as any other chosen provider.

Should you receive a bill exceeding your Good Faith Estimate by at least $400, you have the option to contest the bill. Remember to retain a copy or photograph of your Good Faith Estimate.

For inquiries or additional details regarding your entitlement to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
